in Asia at the altitude of 14,500 feet, the Pangong
Tso on Indo-China Border is 140 Kms long and only
one third of it is in India. |

300 year old Hanle Palace |
Location: Hanle |
This 300 year old Hanle palace
is now in a state of ruins, but it was once an important
destination on the old caravan route. The Palace
also houses a Gompa (monastery), which is worth
a look for its old manuscripts and sculptures. |

are the highest in the world at 15,000 feet. They
are remotely operated from IIA (Indian Institute
of Astrophysics) Bangalore, which is more than 3,500
kms away. |
