Pankang Thang Tso (P.T.Tso)
Location:17 Kms from Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh

P.T. Tso is derived from Pankang Thang Tso, Pankang is a slice of wood used locally to insulate the roof of the houses. Thang is a place or plains in Tibetan. Tso means lake in Tibetan. Locals from Tawang used to give Pankang instead of money as tax to the kings of Tibet, each family would keep their share of Pankang at the lake from where Tibetan Army would collect it. P.T. Tso still has the charm and aura that does match up with its rich history.
